NEET 2020 (Overview)

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET 2020 Exam for MBBS entrance (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and this will be used for admission in MBBS and BDS colleges in India. Since NTA came into the picture, many things have changed in NEET 2020 such as mode of exam, its frequency. However, for those who are in class 11 or 12, their focus at the moment should be exam preparation. (

Every year lot of students have been preparing for long to make their dream a reality and all they need is accurate  NEET syllabus  to prepare. NEET Syllabus is divided into four subjects -  Physics ,  Chemistry ,  Botany  and  Zoology . Students need to complete all the 97 chapters of NEET Syllabus in order to score good rank in NEET Exam.

NEET Eligibility

Aspirants of NEET seeking admission at the undergraduate level are advised to check the eligibility criteria of NEET. The prerequisites given here are in accordance with those specified by NTA based on the Regulations on Graduate Medical Education. NEET eligibility criteria  will specify the age limit, academic qualifications, nationality and other mandatory requirements which must be met by all the aspirants.

 NEET Candidate should be an Indian Nationals or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) and Aadhaar card is mandatory for all candidates except belonging to Assam, J&K and Meghalaya state.

Other Eligibility -

  1. Assam, J&K and Meghalaya candidates can also apply for NEET  by providing their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Government ID number.
  2. NRI candidates can apply by using Adhaar Card number or Passport Number.
  3. PIO, OCI & Foreign nationals candidates can apply by Passport Number.
  4. Age Limit of candidates: Minimum – The minimum age limit is 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission. Maximum – There is no maximum age limit for NEET Exam.
  5. There is no maximum attempt limit for writing the NEET Exam.
  6. Students must have passed/appearing 12thor equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology or any other elective subject with English.
  7. Students of 12th level must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology  with English  as a mandatory subject.
  8. Candidates in the 12th level must have secured minimum 50% marks for General categories; 45% marks for PH & 40% marks  for SC/ST category candidates in PCB group.
  9. Candidates, who are appearing in their qualifying exam or waiting for their result are also eligible for NEET (UG).

NEET 2020 Application Form

The filling of application form is done in a two-step process, which begins with the candidate registration. Furthermore, a candidate is advised to register with the correct mobile number and email address. After the successful registration, the login credentials of candidate will be communicated to the candidate via email and a message. It must be used to login and proceed to fill the application form and fill in the details for the said amount.

It is advised that the candidate has the DD ready when the application submission is sought. A candidate is also allowed to get the application by post, by sending the application fee to the notified address.
